According to the classification standards of application areas and specific characteristics, automatic identification technologies can be divided into the following seven types.

1. Barcode recognition technology

3. Image recognition technology

The key information of image recognition technology must have both the information that enters the senses at that time (that is, the input computer system) and the information stored in the system.The re-recognition of the image can only be achieved through the process of comparing the stored information with the current information.

4. Magnetic card identification technology

5. IC card identification technology

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is a technology that belongs to graphic recognition.The goal is to let the computer know exactly what it saw, especially the written material.

7. Radio frequency identification technology (RFID)

Radio frequency identification technology is an automatic identification technology for data transmission through radio waves, which is a non-contact automatic identification technology.It automatically identifies the target object and obtains relevant data through the RF signal, and the identification work can work in a variety of harsh environments without manual intervention.Compared with bar code recognition, magnetic card recognition technology and IC card recognition technology, it has the advantages of unique contactlessness, strong anti-interference ability, and can identify multiple items at the same time.
